Uncommon Italian Game of the Goose in 90 boxes.
The rules of the game are explained as follows: "REGOLA DEL GIUOCO: Questo giuoco è composto di 90 numeri e può servire anche a giocare fino al 63, ciò deve convenirsi prima di cominciare la partita. Per giuocare si serve di due dadi numerati dall' uno al sei e si tira a chi debba giuocare per primo e si conviene la posta al giuoco. Colui che fa 12 va all' 89, e può tirare una volta con un solo dado se per caso l'1 venisse, egli ha vinto la partita se un altro tira il 12 va fino all'89, allora il primo resta in banco.
Colui che va al 71 dov'è la Fontana, retrocede dove era prima, senza pagare, se per caso tirando di nuovo tornasse al 71 , ritornerà di nuovo al suo posto.
Colui che va all'82 dov'è la Torre, paga e vi resta fermo finché un' altro(sic) facendo l' 82, lo leva e si ferma al suo posto, pagando però il convenuto, allora il primo va al posto del secondo.
Colui che arriva al 90 ha vinto tutto. Quando si fa 9 con 6 e 3 si va al 26, e se sorte 5 e 4 si va al 53, ed ogni volta che si incontra un'oca si va avanti ricontando il numero fatto. Si paga il convenuto quando si va alle seguenti poste: Ponte, Osteria, Pozzo, Labirinto Prigione, e Morte e si pone in banco fino alla fine del giuoco".

Color Key
We offer many maps in their original black and white condition. We do not systematically color-up maps to make them more sellable to the general public or buyer.
Copper engraved or wood block maps are always hand colored. Maps were initially colored for aesthetic reasons and to improve readability. Nowadays, it is becoming a challenge to find maps in their original colors and are therefor more valuable.
We use the following color keys in our catalog:
Original colors; mean that the colors have been applied around the time the map was issued.
Original o/l colors; means the map has only the borders colored at the time of publication.
Colored; If the colors are applied recently or at the end of the 20th century.

Shipping fee
A flat shipping fee of $ 30 is added to each shipment by DHL within Europe and North America. This covers : International Priority shipping, Packing and Insurance (up to the invoice amount).
Shipments to Asia are $ 40 and rest of the world $50
We charge only one shipping fee when you have been successful on multiple items or when you want to combine gallery and auction purchases.
