Amsterdam, 1685, Coloured.. 530x605mm. Reasonable to good condition. The map shows some signs of usage. The margins are somewhat stained and have several small repairs and reinforcements on the back.
The map has been folded. The central fold is reinforced from behind. This has not affected the image. The print is bold and the colours are strong and vivid.
It is a very nice and decorative version of this sought after map.
A large nautical map of the complete British Isles, beautifully decorated with an elaborate title cartouche, coats of arms and compass roses. Published in 1685 in De Groote Nieuwe Vermeerdende Zee-Atlas Ofte Water-Werelt (first edition 1680). It is oriented with North to the right.

It is a large map when combined: approx 1425 mm high and 1050 mm.
