Description
Map of the environs of the Crimea, showing the route of the Russian Army in its expedition against the Tartars in 1736 and 1737. Showing detailed movements, including encampments of the route of the Russian Army.
Karl Lvovich Frauendorf was born in Brandenburg, January 2, 1767 and was a Imperial Russian major general (1731-1763) and the first governor of the Irkutsk province (1764-1767).
Frauendorf was the son of the Prussian captain Karl Phillip Frauendorf. For a while lived Frauendorf in Governorate of Estonia, where he married Margarethe Elisabeth von Wrangell also on January 13, 1743.
He died on January 2, 1767 Irkutsk-Government. Overall, he has held the post of governor one year nine months and 24 days.
Serviced in the Russian Empire (1731-1763) and participated in various military operations.
From 1757 to 1765 he served in the rank of brigadier in the Siberian Corps. He has commanded the frontier troops in the Tobolsk government. For the following six years he made successful administrative work and he was awarded in 1762 the rank of major general.

We offer many maps in their original black and white condition. We do not systematically color-up maps to make them more sellable to the general public or buyer.
Copper engraved or wood block maps are always hand colored. Maps were initially colored for aesthetic reasons and to improve readability. Nowadays, it is becoming a challenge to find maps in their original colors and are therefor more valuable.
We use the following color keys in our catalog:
Original colors; mean that the colors have been applied around the time the map was issued.
Original o/l colors; means the map has only the borders colored at the time of publication.
Colored; If the colors are applied recently or at the end of the 20th century.

Shipping fee
A flat shipping fee of $ 30 is added to each shipment by DHL within Europe and North America. This covers : International Priority shipping, Packing and Insurance (up to the invoice amount).
Shipments to Asia are $ 40 and rest of the world $50
