Rare atlas of the Low Countries, by Jacob Colom, in an early – first- French edition. The atlas was first printed in Dutch (1635) and then in 1636 in French, using the same copper plates. The atlas includes 42 maps of the Low Countries and three genealogical plates. The plates on genealogy show over 100 portraits of the nobility of Holland and Flanders.
This copy bears a duplicate of the general map of Flanders (H3 and L3), however without the De Vier Ambachten, an error that has been present from the time of printing.

The atlas is bound in a fine contemporary vellum binding. Good margins. With old stamp "Bibliotheca Hebtriana" on first flypaper.
