Including the Southern tip of Malaysia, New Guinea and the most northern tip of Australia.

Tindal? 1842.Title-sheet with large engraved Royal Dutch Coat-of-Arms at top-margin with partial map of New Guinea and the the Moluccas at tail margin.
- Index-sheet with complete map of colonial Indonesia printed in centre, with text, with tables of distances.
- 7 sheets with partial maps when composed illustrating the whole Indonesian Archipelago. Steel-engraved maps with legenda, in a variety in scales, also indicating Longitude and Lattitude.
The maps are compiled by G.F. Baron von Derfelden van Hinderstein and published by command of King William II of the Netherlands, under the direction of J.C. Baud, Minister of Colonial Affairs, under supervision of Lt. at Sea G.A. Tindal.

Color Key
We offer many maps in their original black and white condition. We do not systematically color-up maps to make them more sellable to the general public or buyer.
Copper engraved or wood block maps are always hand colored. Maps were initially colored for aesthetic reasons and to improve readability. Nowadays, it is becoming a challenge to find maps in their original colors and are therefor more valuable.
We use the following color keys in our catalog:
Original colors; mean that the colors have been applied around the time the map was issued.
Original o/l colors; means the map has only the borders colored at the time of publication.
Colored; If the colors are applied recently or at the end of the 20th century.
