You Tube Paulus Swaen Rare Antique Maps & Prints

Paulus Swaen Old and Rare Maps is one of the longest-established dealers in antique maps, atlases, globes, books, and rare decorative prints (since 1978). All items offered are fine original examples. Our stock dates back to the 16th century and extends into the late 1800s. We also carry decorative prints, medieval manuscripts, and posters.

Our oldest maps are from the 15th century, though most of the maps we sell are original, genuine prints, maps, and atlases published in the 16th to 18th centuries.
Each item is sold with a certificate of authenticity.

MORE ABOUT THE MAPS WE SELL [+]

We usually ship flat between sturdy cardboard. Large maps are rolled and shipped in solid tubes.
Shipping costs are $25 to Europe and America. Other areas are 40$.
Shipments are fully insured.
We ship to all parts of the world.
Purchases from European buyers will be sold in the European VAT system, and VAT is included, and no extra customs duties are payable.

We collected tips for prospective map collectors and give advise how to store your maps. Museums keep their storage areas at an optimum temperature of around 70 degrees F and a relative humidity of 50%. If conditions cannot be kept to this ideal (and historic houses, for example, often are not air-conditioned), avoiding extremes, such as the very high heat in an attic, and avoiding major fluctuations.
