Robert Pichon

Robert Pichon and his workshop specialized in graphic design for advertising and were active from 1910 to 1940. All his works are executed in a wonderfully characteristic Art Deco style.

His works feature a variety of hallmark themes from the Art Deco period, with designs influenced by Fauvist color and Cubist composition. The subject matter ranges from figurative, including flora, fauna, and classical mythology, to abstract geometric motifs. Robert Pichon worked for the Lorilleux printing house, for which he realized many models in the 1920s/1930s. He also worked frequently for the magazine Caractère, primarily on the special Christmas issues.
