This is the interesting ninth edition, with 26 full-page maps as called for in "Directions to the binder". With 9 double-page woodcut maps. - Slight traces of use, first c. 24 leaves with small sections of upper outer blank margins gnawed away, a few leaves with small red ownership seal. Contemp. Patterned yellow wrappers, somewhat soiled and scuffed, upper cover with repair to corners and lacking title slip, stitching renewed.
Each page with 11 columns of text with geographical details, and many with distance charts. 9 double-page woodcut maps (1 double-hemisphere world map, 8 maps of the provinces). Interesting contemporary marginal manuscript annotations throughout.
The book was a popular work that was reprinted over many years and in a number of languages, the La Relationi was a geographical and political discourse on the world. Not all editions did include the continent maps.
