Description
The location of Sodom and Gomorrah are seen in the Dead Sea.
In the lower right corner of the map is an inset of the flight of the Israelites out of Egypt into Canaan. Moses is engraved holding a tablet of roman numerals.
In the upper right corner are the set of four mileage scales, housed in their own decorative cartouche. However, in the top left corner is the large and impressive title cartouche that shows Jesus summoning out a Demon, in a puff of smoke, from the mouth of a possessed man, writhing on the ground. Astonished onlookers gasp at the miracle performed before their eyes. The curtained title is held up by winged cherubs, and The Lord blesses the scene below him.
Somewhat tellingly, in the background, Jesus and two criminals are seen being crucified, Jesus and the Virgin Mary have haloes.

Copper engraved or wood block maps are always hand colored. Maps were initially colored for aesthetic reasons and to improve readability. Nowadays, it is becoming a challenge to find maps in their original colors and are therefor more valuable.
We use the following color keys in our catalog:
Original colors; mean that the colors have been applied around the time the map was issued.
Colored; If the colors are applied recently or at the end of the 20th century, then "colored", or "attractive colors" will be used.
Original o/l colors; means the map has only the borders colored at the time of publication.
