Description :Very large oval shaped map of the world, showing the detailed tracks of Captain Cooks three famous voyages.

One of the first world maps to show Hawaii. Early geography of Australia (Nouvelle Hollande), still joined with Tasmania. North America with large unexplored areas. Indicates sightings of Ice in the Antarctic seas. Shows numerous small islands in the Pacific.

One of the best and most important maps to illustrate Cooks explorations!

Condition : Excellent dark and clear impression printed on hand-laid paper. Light uneven toning and surface soiling. Three vertical folds with light creasing, one browned and with some wear. Wide margins with light toning. In very good and decorative condition.
