Size : 16.3 x 21.5 inches. / 41.5 x 54.5 cm.
Colouring : Coloured.

Description :Scarce copper-engraved illustration of a 17th century sailing ship. Fantastic view with sailors working on the ship with full sails, cannons, etc. With a second ship, and an unknown town (maybe Marseilles?) in the background.

Published in Mortier's sought-after and highly prized atlas; "Le Neptune Francois". After the template by Captain Henry Sbonski de Passebon, who was stationed in Marseilles.

A very decorative and valuable print! ¤
Condition : Very good condition. Dark impression. Full hand colouring. Wide margins. With faint soiling and toning.
