Baltimore, 1853, In original colours.. 1519x1477mm. This is a beautiful example whose image is good with a few flaws. Maps of this size, intended as practical wall hangings, are rarely found in good condition.
Canvas-backed with original wooden rollers, well attached.
Original colour. No missing areas and minimal cracking and whitening.
Typical yellowing from the oxidation of the varnish. Light damp staining at upper right that is hardly noticeable because of the yellowing of the varnish. Small hole in upper left corner margin (1/4" x 1/2") has been repaired.

Possibly the most interesting and attractive 19th century wall map of North America.
