Consignor centerConsignor center
In the Consignor center you can manage your current and past auction items. You can add items, see items currently in the auction, your sold and unsold items, and consignor payments.

ADDING AN ITEM TO THE AUCTION
You can submit items to an auction up to 2 days before the auction starts.
Choose the link Add item to the next auction.
When you are adding an item, you have the option to add the item to the next OR any future auction date.

FEES
For each sold item, we charge an EU individual or EU company selling in the margin scheme an 18% commission on the hammer price. (incl. VAT)
A reduced rate of 12 or 15% commission is charged when you add your item descriptions and images using the online submission form.
The minimum fee for a sold item is 15 euros.
If an item does not sell, there are no costs involved.
NOTE: Dealers not using the EU margin or sellers from outside the EU, please read our terms and conditions for selling in our auctions for applicable seller's rates.

RESERVE PRICE
You can set a reserve price for your item, which is the minimum price at which you want to sell the item.
Please contact us if you need advice about the height of the reserve price.

Lowering a reserve
You may lower a reserve price until 24 hours after closing the sale.
When you lower a reserve price, the bidders are automatically notified by email about this change. This is a powerful tool for motivating bidders to review their bids!

No reserve item
You can sell your items without a reserve price, and the item starts at 1$. The message "This item is sold without reserve" is shown on the item page.
All no-reserve items are also listed on the No Reserve items list.
This is our most frequently visited page !.
We then start with one dollar, and the item sells for any amount at the close of the auction.

Starting Price
The starting price is the amount at which we are starting to accept bids; typically, this is under the reserve price.

Buy Price

This is the price at which a user can buy the item anytime during the sale, which is closed immediately. It is typically 20% above the Reserve.

BidAsk spread
The BidAsk spread defines the gap between the minimum acceptable Bid and the items' Ask (buy) price. A format successfully used on the stock exchange.  [Learn more]
Items that have received bids within the BidAsk spread are sold at the highest bid after the sale's closing.

RELISTING OF UNSOLD ITEMS.
If an item was unsold, you could relist the item in a future auction. To keep our auctions interesting for our bidders, we allow re-listing only for items not offered in the previous two auctions.
Your unsold items can be found in your Consignor's Panel by clicking on All Unsold Items.
Those items with a relist check box are eligible for relisting.
You re-list items by

  • selecting all the ones you want to relist
  • At the bottom of the page, you see a dropdown menu with the auction periods and select the period in which you want to offer the selected items. You process per page.
  • Click the "RELIST" button and confirm your choice.
  • The items are now visible in the All scheduled items list
After this, you will see your items in Pending Auction List.

You may change the starting, Reserve, Low and High Estimates or sell the item as "No Reserve Item".

Switching sale dates
When you have (re)listed an item and you need to change the sale date, you can do this at the bottom of the edit page by selecting a different sale date.

IMAGES
We need images at a minimum of 2500 pixels wide. Save your jpg-image WITHOUT compression.
We can not emphasize enough the importance of good images! Better images do result in higher bids. An investment in a good High-Resolution camera pays back quickly.

Additional image
If your item has interesting text on the verso, it is a good idea to add an image of the verso. You may add up to 20 additional pictures as you like.
Do not upload separate images of a cartouche or other parts. Please submit one good HR image that bidders can zoom to their liking.

Finding your items DURING THE SALE
Once the auction has started, you will find your active items in Your auction List. This page also shows the received bids and the visitor's hits for each item.
The total amount of the received and under reserve bids.
Each item page also displays the number of people who have added this item to their favorites. A good indicator of how popular this item is.

Finding your items AFTER THE SALE
After the sale close, you can see the items you have sold in your consignor center Consignor center.

If you hold the items, you must send them the day following the auction, fully insured, by DHL, UPS or FedEx to our Amsterdam office.
Include a copy of the packing list and carefully check and mark the items on this list.
Put the lot number in pencil on the verso of the item in the upper left corner. Remove all other stock numbers or notes.
