The Dezauche edition of Joseph De L'Isle map concentrating on the northern Pacific and showing all of North America and Mexico. While the Russian coastline is shown with reasonable accuracy, notwithstanding Terre d'Yeso , the American coastline north of Cape Mendocino is very hypothetical and largely incorrect. There is a large western, island, sea and no real sense of Alaska at all. With the large Mer ou Baye de L'Quest in California. A series of lakes joined by rivers seem to hold some promise of the elusive north-west passage, but the delineation is indistinct as if to emphasise De l' Isle' s uncertainty.

Exhibiting the Russian discoveries in 1723, 1732 and 1741, Bering's tracks from his first and second voyages and of De L'Isle de la Croyere with Captain Tchirikow in 1741.
Also shows the track of de Frondt's voyage of 1709 and the route of the Manilla Galleons in 1743. Water of Wager discovered in 1746 and 1747.

Extending to Korea in the west and including a vast inland sea, the Mer de L'Ouest, to the North of California.
