One of the first maps to use the name Ulimaroa, originally published in Sweden in 1780. In the first state, it was the first map to use the Maori term Ulimaroa for Australia. The name was often used at this time as it was the term Cook learned from the New Zealand Maoris. This important map with Cooks three voyages and other notable early navigators as Bougainville 1768, Byron 1765, Carteret 1767, Clark 1779, Gore, Mendannas 1568, Wallis 1767, Surville 1769, Tasman.
Some of the early Dutch discoveries are shown in Australia, and many place names assigned by Cook to Australia' s east coast and to New Zealand.
