Antwerp, 1587, In original colours.. 310x445mm. In very good condition. Lightly age toned, the odd small tear etc to margins. Good margins, strong impression. French text on verso.
Nice example of Ortelius' map of East Friesland, from the 1587 French edition of his Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, the first modern atlas of the world.
This map includes a compass and three sailing vessels. A nice coloured example with wide margins.

Amsterdam, ca. 1700, In original colours.. 455x550mm. In very good condition. Small split to lower and upper centerfold. Good dark impression.
Some thinning to centerfold, marginal marks and stains etc - else good.
The map is a cooper engraved map of East Friesland by Carel Allard. It shows the North Sea coastal line of Friesland with Emden and the islands Borkum, Norderney, Langeoog, Spickeroog and Wanderooge.
