Size : 12.6 x 15.6 inches. / 32.0 x 39.5 cm.
Colouring : In original colours.

Description :This nicely coloured map of the Pacific Ocean, or Oceania, is from Mitchell's" New Universal Atlas". The atlas was published by Thomas Cowperthwait in Philadelphia.
Cowperthwait acquired the rights to the "New Universal Atlas" in 1850 from Mitchell and continued annual updates until 1855.
map appears to be coloured in sections, Australasia, Polynesia and the rest of the Pacific ocean. Insets in opposite corners of Hawaii and the Antarctic continent with associated remarks. With a decorative green border.

Condition : In very good condition. Lightly age toned. Good impression.
